Protest of the villagers affected by the Bafli Mali mine against Utkal Alumina.
The residents of the area protested at the main gate of the bauxite mine for two days regarding the long-standing demands of the villagers affected by the Bafli Mali mine. The project authorities reached the protest site and held a discussion with the protesters. However, it is known that the project officials have given a written assurance that they will discuss all the demands again on the 11th and find a solution. The main point is that the residents of the mining area have clearly complained that all the developmental steps taken by the project in the Bafli Mali mine-affected areas for two decades are not meaningful. Therefore, if the administration is really thinking about the project for the development of the region or the economic condition of the people of the region, then plantations gardens should be established in the villages around Bafli Mali, so that men and women in the region can get regular employment and develop the region and create a useful environment. This is being discussed in the intellectual circles of the region ।
